Illinois Court Dismisses Indictment Against WBA

The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois (Eastern Division) granted the World Boxing Association’s (WBA) legal team’s motion to dismiss a lawsuit against the body made by Fres Oquendo in January 2021.

Judge Andrea Wood determined, in applying the relevant WBA rules, that federal court was not the proper forum to consider the allegations in the lawsuit.

The pioneering body thanks the entire legal team in charge of these types of situations, which continues to work to keep the WBA’s rectitude and morale high in the face of these types of accusations.
