Golden Boy Promotions won the bidding for the fight between the World Boxing Association (WBA) Super Flyweight Super Champion, Juan Francisco Estrada, and the champion of the division, Joshua Franco. 

With Robert Diaz as representative, the company offered US $120,000.00 to win the right to promote the fight during the bidding held on Tuesday, April 19 via zoom platform. 

Golden Boy gave two possible dates. The first one on June 11 with Los Angeles as a possible venue and the second one on July 16 with California or Nevada as possibilities.

The bidding was conducted by the president of the WBA Championships Committee, Carlos Chavez, and was carried out under the WBA rules.
