World Boxing Association (WBA) President, Gilberto Jesús Mendoza, will have a pleasant conversation with former WBA Super Champion Andy Ruiz on Wednesday at 12:00 pm Pacific Time and 2:00 pm Colombia Time through Instagram Live on their personal accounts @GilberticoWBA and @Andy_destroyer13.

Mendoza will interview the Heavyweight fighter, who has an interesting story of ups and downs that are an inspiration for many. Ruiz was one of the surprises of 2019 with his knockout to Anthony Joshua, which put him on top of the boxing world. Despite having lost in the rematch, the first Mexican Heavyweight World Champion is one of the most outstanding boxers in the division today.

This Instagram Live is part of a series of interviews to different boxing figures by the president of the WBA, and will cover sports issues, the impact of Covid-19 on boxing and other interesting topics.

The WBA hopes that the public can join in the conversation and send their questions to Ruiz and Mendoza. More conversations with fighters and sport figures will be posted during the next days.
