Undefeated fighter Fran Mendoza will cross Europe to fight for the World Boxing Association (WBA) super bantamweight continental title against Peter McGrail from England on October 21.

The 10-round bout will be the co-main event of the event that will feature the experienced Venezuelan Jorge Linares against the British Jack Catteral.

The fight will take place at the Echo Arena, Liverpool, Merseyside, England. In addition, it will be broadcast live on the DANZ platform.

The native of Colombia, Fran Mendoza, will face perhaps the most important fight of his career. He will step into the ring for the third time this year, in March he defeated Nicaraguan Ricardo Martinez (10-10) by unanimous decision.

The 27-year-old English boxer Peter McGrail will be back in action in his hometown where he defeated Argentina’s Nicolas Nahuel Botelli (15-8) by unanimous decision last March.

McGrail (7-0 / 5 KO) has a knockout power of over 70% and had five consecutive wins by knockout before the fifth round. The southpaw said through his official Instagram account: ¨The fight is less than 8 weeks away. Nothing better than to dispute my first title in Liverpool, of many to come.”
