Wilfredo Flores conquered the World Boxing Association (WBA) Fedecentro lightweight title by defeating Victor Betancourt Jr. by unanimous decision this Friday night at the Seneca Niagara Resort and Casino, New York. 

The Puerto Rican got cards of 98-92, 97-93 and 99-91 to take a big win over the Mexican and capture the vacant regional crown of the pioneer organization. 

“El Bravo Vega”, as the Puerto Rican boxer is nicknamed, showed a good dominance over Betancourt and got a victory that allows him to continue moving up in his career.

Flores remains undefeated with 10 wins and 1 draw, in addition to 5 knockouts. Betancourt improved his record to 27 wins, 5 losses and 14 knockouts.
