Puerto Rican Wilfredo Flores and Mexican Victor Betancourt Jr. will fight for the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) Fedecentro lightweight title this Friday at the Seneca Niagara Resort and Casino in New York.

The All Star Boxing event will feature another episode of the Puerto Rico-Mexico rivalry. This time with two boxers who are looking to move up in the 135-pound class and with a victory could get better opportunities in the future.

Flores is undefeated and comes from his most complicated fight against Jonathan Escobedo, which ended in a draw. The Puerto Rican is 32 years old and has been a professional since 2015.

For his part, Betancourt is a fighter with great experience. He has 12 years of professional career and has been immersed in several wars in the ring. The fighter from Mexicali wants to surprise and impose his experience against the Puerto Rican.
