Mexican fighter Esteban Bermudez feels ready to face Venezuelan Carlos Cañizales for the World Boxing Association (WBA) Minimumweight Championship to be held in Mexico City on May 28th.

“The truth is that I am very happy for the opportunity we have been waiting for a long time, I believe that every fighter wants this opportunity”, said the tapatío and added: “I have fought this year, I always prepare well, I run, train and keep myself in the gym. I’m in good shape”.

Bermúdez knows that his opponent is very experienced in the ring and deserves respect, however, this does not stop him in his quest to win and knows what his main attribute is: “the hunger of wanting to be, wanting to have, that’s what will make this fight different from others”.

The Mexican gladiator assured that it will be a great fight and that he will adjust his strategy as the rounds go by, but he is sure that Cañizales, who arrives this Saturday to Mexico, will have a worthy opponent on May 28th.
