Efetobor Apochi proved his superiority in his World Boxing Association (WBA) Cruiserweight title eliminator fight when he defeated Deon Nicholson by TKO in the third round at the Shrine Exposition Center in Los Angeles, California.

The fight had high expectations as it faced two strong and undefeated opponents who intended to win and thus get closer to the possibility of fighting for a world championship.

However, the Nigerian showed from the beginning who was the better of the two and prevailed with strong combinations. In the second round, he landed a right uppercut that sent Nicholson to the canvas and although he recovered, it seemed only a matter of time before the fight was over.

In the third round, a straight right hit Nicholson’s face, who could not recover this time, and Apochi sealed a resounding victory at the Premier Boxing Champions event.

The 33-year-old fighter remains undefeated in 11 fights, all won by KO, while Nicholson lost his undefeated record and now has 14 wins, 1 loss, and 13 KOs.
