The Matchroom Boxing event to be held this Saturday in San Diego, California will have great things and not only because of its bouts. In addition to the action in the ring, it will feature the return of announcer David Diamante, great news for the discipline.

The boxing world was in turmoil in December last year when Diamante suffered a delicate motorcycle accident. The American had to go through a long recovery but is now back to what he does best.

The Baltimore native has a great track record in boxing and has announced great fights in his signature style. Now he will be back in action for the event that will feature Roman Gonzalez taking on Julio Cesar Martinez.
