The World Boxing Association (WBA) Championships Committee ordered the Purse Bid for the mandatory featherweight bout between the world champion Erika Cruz and the official challenger to the title, Jelena Mrdjenovich, to be held on May 18.

The fight will be held through the Zoom platform starting at 10:00 a.m. Panama time, WBA headquarters, and the formal communication has already been sent to the parties. 

The Purse Bid will have a minimum amount of US$ 120,000.00 with a split of 75% for the Mexican and 25% for the Canadian.

The fight will be a rematch since Cruz won her world title by defeating Mrdjenovich on April 22, 2021, in New York.
