Leonardo Carrillo won the World Boxing Association (WBA) Fedelatin super bantamweight title with a fifth round technical knockout victory over Ecuadorian Nixon Ankuash on Saturday night.

The bout held in Los Andes Mall, Panama City, was full of good action but from the beginning it was evident that the Colombian had more tools to win the vacant regional belt of the pioneer organization.

Carrillo, who resides in Panama, attacked his opponent with good combinations and demolished him little by little until he got the technical knockout in the fifth round.

The 28-year-old fighter remains undefeated with 14 wins, 1 draw and 7 knockouts while Ankuash now dropped his record to 7 wins, 2 losses, 1 draw and 3 knockouts.
