Carlos Cañizales and Germán Valenzuela made weight for their bout on Friday for the World Boxing Association (WBA) Fedecaribe junior flyweight title, which will take place in Mexico City.

The Venezuelan and former world champion scored 106.3 pounds, while the Mexican stopped the scale at 106.9, both under the 108 limit and were ready for the dispute of the regional belt of the pioneer organization.

For “CCC” the fight will be very meaningful because it is his first appearance since losing the title against Esteban Bermudez last May.

He will return to the same city where he was defeated with the objective of winning and resume his path to a new world title.

Valenzuela, on the other hand, will have a great opportunity in front of him. The youngster comes with the least options, but he is motivated to surprise and take a place in the world boxing scene if he beats an experienced opponent like Cañizales.

Having made weight, both are ready for their fight this Friday night in the Mexican capital.
