This Thursday, Saul Alvarez and Premier Boxing Champions announced that the Mexican will return to the ring in September to defend his undisputed super middleweight championship.

Through a promotional video, it was announced that Canelo will be fighting in September, which has become a tradition for him. Although the exact date and opponent has not been published yet, it is expected to be on September 16 and Jermall Charlo is the most talked about option to be the opponent.

Alvarez and PBC have reportedly reached a three-fight agreement for the Guadalajara native to fight under the promotion of the U.S.-based company during that period. Both parties have already worked hand in hand and the result has been satisfactory, so a series of important fights are expected for Canelo.

Alvarez comes from fulfilling his dream of defending his crowns in front of his people last May when he fought in his native Guadalajara and defeated John Ryder by unanimous decision. Now he will return to U.S. soil where he has not fought since September 2022 when he defeated Gennady Golovkin in Las Vegas.

Alvarez is one of the faces of boxing today and has a record of 59 wins, 2 losses, 2 draws and 39 knockouts.
