The last press conference before Saturday’s fight between Saul Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin took place in an auditorium full of journalists and fans. Both were before the press and the public on Thursday to talk about the fight that will have at stake the World Boxing Association (WBA) Super Middleweight Super Championship and the IBF, WBO and WBC belts.

Both were very confident and highly motivated for a fight that has generated a lot of expectations and means a lot to them. The crowd was euphoric with their words and there was a great atmosphere before Saturday’s fight.

“Canelo acknowledged that it will not be an easy fight and that the Kazakh is a very difficult opponent, but he promised that he will win and that he will try to do it by knockout this time.

Golovkin, on the other hand, was quite serious and focused while he assured that he is coming to make a great fight and that his only goal is to come out with his hand up.

The face to face between the two was again tense and it was noticeable the focus that each one has to resolve this rivalry in their favor. Now all that remains is the weigh-in this Friday afternoon and they will be ready for the big fight.
