Boxing world mourns the death of Oleg Prudky

The death of Ukrainian boxer Oleg Prudky, who fell in combat during the ongoing war between his country and Russia, was reported on Tuesday.

The World Boxing Association (WBA) regrets what happened to the boxer, who was 30 years old and had represented his country in several international tournaments.

He was Ukraine national champion and had represented his country in the World Boxing Series with the Otomans. He was a great super lightweight fighter and remained in the amateur arena. 

“Another tragedy in our boxing family. One of the best boxers of the Cherkasy region, Oleg Prudky, died in the East…. The boxing family of the Cherkasy region expresses its sincere and heartfelt condolences to the family and friends. rest in peace!” the Cherkasky boxing federation said through a statement.

The pioneer organization regrets the situation that is being experienced on Ukrainian soil and that elite sportsmen are involved in situations like this.
