Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez and Avni Yildirim met for the first time on Monday at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida. On the preview of their fight this Saturday for the World Boxing Association (WBA) Super Middleweight Super Championship and the WBC title, both fighters went face to face at the Dolphins’ home.

The atmosphere was quite relaxed and the two posed for the cameras after their arrival in the city. Both Álvarez and Yildirim traveled on Sunday and settled in the hotel designated as a bubble, from which they will only go out for events and commitments related to the fight.

The Mexican and the Turkish will begin a series of promotional activities this week that will serve to raise expectations as the fight approaches.

Álvarez will make his first defense since winning the title in December against Callum Smith and will do so against an ambitious Yildirim, who wants to beat the odds.

Canelo is happy to be back in Miami after 13 years
