Murodjon Akhmadaliev has already traveled to San Antonio, Texas, for his World Boxing Association (WBA) Super Bantamweight Super Championship and IBF belt defense against Ronny Rios at the Tech Port Arena.

After a long camp in Indio, California, the Uzbek champion is ready to face the WBA mandatory fight at 122 pounds. Akhmadaliev is one of the most impressive talents in the division and will be looking for his third defense of the black and gold belt.

He won the belt in January 2020 against Daniel Roman in a great performance. He returned to the ring in April 2021 to defeat Japan’s Ryosuke Iwasa in his first defense and made his second last November with a victory over Chile’s Jose Velasquez.

Rios is the official challenger and was the Gold monarch of the pioneering body, so he earned the right to challenge the world champion. He is on a four-fight winning streak, three of them by knockout, so he feels confident to win the crown.

The Uzbek has a record of 10 wins, no losses and 7 knockouts, while the American has 33 wins, 3 losses and 16 knockouts.
