Caoimhin Aguarko and Lukasz Maciec will fight for the World Boxing Association (WBA) super welterweight international title next Saturday, July 9 at the O2 Arena, London, England. 

The bout is part of the event that will feature Dereck Chisora and Kubrat Pulev featuute fight and will also include the WBA eliminator between Israil Madrimov and Michel Soro.

Agyarko is the WBA international middleweight champion and will now move down a weight class in search for another belt. The 25-year-old Irishman has shown motivation for this new challenge and plans to take another big step in his career. 

Maciec, a 33-year-old fighter with more experience, has a few wars on his record and knows that a win in this fight would give his career a new lease of life. The Pole has won six of his last seven fights and is in a good momentum.

“Black Thunder”, as Agyarko is nicknamed, comes in with a record of 11 wins, no losses and 7 knockouts. Macien has 28 wins, 4 losses, 1 draw and 5 knockouts.
