In line with its firm commitment to supporting the sport and discovering new talent, the World Boxing Association provided strong institutional backing through its WBA Future Champions program to the recent boxing event held last Saturday in the community of Pacora, Panama, an action-packed showcase featuring a total of 17 bouts.
The project continues to expand across multiple countries, with Panama remaining one of its flagship territories through the work of Fedelatin deputy director Alfredo Mendoza, who personally attended the event to support the young fighters and oversee yet another successful card, which was streamed live on the official YouTube channel of the World Boxing Association.
The presence and support of the organization proved essential to the success of the event, guaranteeing technical supervision, official officiating, and the proper regulatory framework to safeguard the integrity of the athletes. Through initiatives like this, the WBA development program continues taking major steps forward in its mission to reach new communities and support areas that historically have remained far from the spotlight of professional boxing.
Across the 17 contests, the young fighters were given the opportunity to showcase their preparation under the standards of the world sanctioning body. With events such as the one in Pacora, the WBA once again reinforces that the foundation of global success lies in consistent support for community boxing, building accessible platforms for the next generation of champions to begin their journey in the noble art.
