Brandon Figueroa will make the third defense of his World Boxing Association (WBA) Super Bantamweight title this Saturday at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut, against Damien Vazquez at a PBC event.

The Mexican-American boxer will reappear after being out of the ring for 10 months. On his most recent bout, he drew with Julio Ceja to retain his 122-pound crown in a tough match.

“The Heartbreaker” has been champion since April 2019 and has two successful defenses. The 23-year-old fighter aims to become the best in the division with his flashy and aggressive boxing style.

He will face Vazquez, who arrives to the fight with the desire to surprise everyone and assures that he has the right strategy to defeat Figueroa and keep the black and gold belt.

This Friday they will meet at the weigh-in ceremony, where both fighters are required to weigh 122 pounds or less to be qualified to fight for the title. Figueroa has a record of 20 wins, no losses, 1 draw and 15 KOs. Vazquez has 15 wins, 1 setback, 1 draw and 8 KOs.
