The World Boxing Association 115 lbs. interim champion Linda Lecca will defend her title this Saturday in Peru, against the Venezuelan Carolina Alvarez.

Lecca made her training camp in Panama, and said she feels very agile to neutralize her opponent. She trusts she will be at her top on Saturday, “everything went as planned and I think I will be faster and better than ever for the fight”, said to the Peruvian media.

The Peruvian champion defends for the third time the interim title she won from Brazilian Simone Da Silva, on May 31 2014. Lecca is 12-2-1, 3 KO. While the Venezuelan Álvarez (11-6-3, 8 KO), makes the sixth attempt to win a world title.

In the same program, Carlos “Mina” Zambrano (24-0, 11 KO) will fight Dominican Daniel Ramirez (24-0, 20 KO) for the WBA 126 lbs interim title.
