This Saturday, November 8, American contender Tresean “Trigger” Wiggins (17-5-3, 10 KOs) will square off against Puerto Rico’s Leonel Omar Colón Santana (8-1, 3 KOs) for the vacant WBA NABA Gold Welterweight title (147 lbs), in a card staged in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, under the supervision of the North American Boxing Association, an affiliate of the World Boxing Association.

The 35-year-old New Yorker comes into this bout riding a solid wave of momentum, with recent knockout wins over Dakota Linger and Chris Howard. With more than a decade in the professional ranks, Wiggins has already fought for NABA and International titles and is known for his aggressive, pressure-heavy style and his ability to finish fights inside the distance. His most recent outing came in June, when he stopped Linger via fourth-round TKO.

Colón, meanwhile, represents the next wave of Puerto Rican boxing. Though less experienced, his team believes in his agility, sharp accuracy, and ability to adapt—qualities they expect will help him pull off an upset on U.S. soil. This will be his first shot at a WBA-sanctioned belt, and a victory could open the doors to the North American circuit.

Nicknamed “Taz,” the 20-year-old prospect will also be making his first appearance in a scheduled ten-round fight, as he looks to capture his first regional championship as a professional.
