The World Boxing Association officially notified its bantamweight super champion of the world, Anselmo “Chemito” Moreno and his team to commence negotiations for the mandatory defense against Juan Carlos Payano.

According to regulations, negotiating period shall be of 30 days counted from March 25, 2014 ending April 24, 2014.
In case they do not reach an agreement or any of them states unwillingness to negotiate, the fight will be open to purse bid.

The World Championships committee granted Moreno a special permit to make an optional fight conditioned to the winner should fight the leading available contender.

This condition was accepted by the WBA champion and his team, for this reason he was allowed to fight Javier Chacón, but now he must negotiate with Payano.
