WBA mourns the passing of Mogens Palle

The World Boxing Association (WBA) mourns the passing of legendary Denmark promoter Mogens Palle, who was 88 years old and had been battling cancer in recent years.

A great boxing man who was always involved in the sport and was even seen promoting events in April of this year, has said goodbye in what means a great loss for this discipline.

With a career that began in 1957 with his father Torkhild Palle, Mogens was introduced to boxing at a very young age and learned so much that by 1964 he was in charge of the business. He worked with great fighters of his country and made great events to leave a legacy.

The pioneer organization sends its words of condolences to Palle’s family and friends at this difficult time. May he rest in peace.
