WBA joins Haiti´s peoples mourn

After the devastating earthquake that took place last Tuesday in Haiti, the World

Boxing Association (WBA) joins the mourning of that country’s people, expresses its

condolences to the families of the thousands of dead people and wants to bring them

words of support in this terrible moment, especially to former WBA Super

Welterweight champion Joachim Alcine, and boxers Andre Berto and Daniel Edouard.

“There are no words at this time that can describe the magnitude of the damage

inflicted to our brothers and sisters of Haiti, who have lost everything. Nor there

is a way to compensate those people as many have lost everything. From our humble

position we just want to extend our condolences to all of them. We pray to God for

Haiti’s fast recovery,” said WBA Executive Vice President Gilberto Jesús Mendoza.
