WBA held seminar for judges and referees of Azerbaijan

The World Boxing Association (WBA), through its International Officials Committee directed by Luis Pabon, held a seminar with judges and referees from Azerbaijan on Wednesday.

The efforts of the pioneering organization have always been focused on expanding and globalizing the sport, so it is important to continue spreading knowledge in all areas, including those who work to impart justice.

In addition to the Puerto Rican Pabón, the renowned Raúl Caiz and Raúl Caiz Jr, Octavio Rodríguez, Gustavo Padilla and Roberto Torres were present in a first class team that gave an intensive amount of content to a group composed of more than a dozen people.

The seminar had a practical part, in which the speakers focused on presenting different key points for the good performance of all judges and referees, in addition to emphasizing the importance of knowing the local and international regulations in order to understand how to act in the performance of their duties.

Afterwards, a point was made on specific situations and how a referee should act in such cases. Afterwards, questions were asked, in which the students showed their interest in learning and cleared up doubts with respect to what was taught.

The WBA will continue working for the training of those involved in boxing around the world and will continue to do its bit to make this sport better every day.
