The Atheyna Bylon Gymnasium on Panama City’s Cinta Costera hosted another successful edition of WBA Future of Panamanian Boxing this past weekend, as Latin America’s premier amateur boxing development program continued its steady growth. With TV Max joining as an official partner, the event featured an action-packed schedule of 22 bouts.

With the newly introduced WBA Future rankings now in effect, the competitive spirit among the young athletes was evident throughout the day. Fighters stepped into the ring not only looking to climb the standings but also to defend their positions while gaining valuable experience under the guidance of the pioneering sanctioning body.

The card featured plenty of memorable moments, competitive matchups, and even dramatic knockdowns during a marathon boxing program that showcased many of Panama’s top amateur prospects from across the country.

Among the standout contests were the Elite 70 kg showdown between Christopher Escudero and Roberto Bernal, as well as the Elite 60 kg clash featuring Joseph Arosarena and Jonathan Rivera. The event also included bouts in the U15, U17, and U19 divisions, with boxers representing a wide range of clubs and regions.

The WBA Future program continues to travel across Panama, with another event already scheduled for later this month. The initiative continues to attract new talent while fulfilling its mission of developing the next generation of Panamanian boxers and strengthening the sport throughout the country.
