The World Boxing Association (WBA), through its Championships Committee, has approved the super welterweight elimination between between Uzbek Israil Madrimov and Venezuelan Charlie Navarro on Saturday, February 29.

Madrimov and Navarro will clash at The Ford Center At The Star, in Texas, on the undercard of Khalid Yafai, who is defending his WBA super flyweight title against Román “Chocolatito” González, promoted by Matchroom Boxing.

The promoter Eddie Hearn, president of the British company, sent all the requirements requested and the oldest boxing organization gave the go-ahead for the two fighters to fight the elimination.

Madrimov is one of the most interesting prospects of the 154 pounds and has four KO’s in equal number of fights, while veteran Navarro has 29 wins, 9 losses and 22 KO’s.
