Fabio Wardley became the new World Boxing Association (WBA) Continental heavyweight champion after defeating Michael Petite Coffie by technical knockout in the fourth round on Saturday at the O2 Arena, London, England.

The Briton established his power in a fight that was a test for his career and the referee stopped the actions before a combination of the local fighter who cornered the American against the ropes.

Wardley came from less to more in the fight and was deciphering Coffie little by little until in that round he managed to put a right hand to the jaw that made him back. The local continued with combinations of punches and with little response from the visitor, the actions were stopped by the third man in the ring.

The new WBA regional champion continues with his good performance and now has 16 victories, 15 of them by knockout. On the other hand, Coffie has 14 wins, 4 setbacks and 10 wins by knockout.
