A battle of high caliber was promised by cruiserweights Oleksandr Usyk and Tony Bellew at the final press conference in Manchester, two days away from the absolute reign in the division to be decided with the fighters fists in the ring.

Usyk, the current WBA Super Champion and owner of the IBF, WBO and WBC belts, is a contender favorite and went into detail about the challenge of facing a fighter like Bellew.

“We accept this challenge because I love boxing and this is what I like to do the most. Particularly for this fight I come with a great preparation,” said the Ukrainian.

“I feel like a child waiting for a surprise at daycare. I’m ready for whatever comes,” said the champion.

It should be noted that Usyk mobilized with his team from Ukraine and hopes to retain his crowns in his 16th victory in professional boxing.

Who knows what the night of November 10th will hold for Bellew. He does not appear as a favorite, but that is not a new role for the Briton.

“Everyone sees him as a favorite because of all his achievements, but I’m here to make history. I’m going to beat him at whatever cost,” said the so-called “Bomber”.

Bellew, very experienced at 35 years old, four years younger than Usyk, revealed that the fact of fighting at home does not put pressure on him but on the contrary it will serve as motivation.

“Throughout my career few have believed in me, but I have surprised them. On Saturday I will give the surprise and everyone who did not believe will follow me,” said the challenger.

In addition Bellew, with much respect, referred to Usyk and said: he is a great boxer.

The ring is ready for November 10th in a fight that is destined to change the history of cruiser weights.
