The Colombian Boxing Federation (Fecolbox) handed out its 2018 awards called “The Best of the Year” and the judge and referee of the World Boxing Association (WBA), Uriel Aguilera, was awarded this distinct honor.

Aguilera received his trophy from the hands of Alberto Torres, president of the Colombian federation and close friend of the WBA. The referee is a historical figure within the Colombian and world pugilism and has been in more than 100 world championship fights as he stands out for his sobriety and successes when it comes to impartial justice within the boxing realm.

On the other hand, the company Quadrilateral was designated the promoter of the year. This company has been doing a great job in contributing to the formation and development of the talent of the South American country in all areas, as it has been a great promoter of professional boxing and has collaborated with several outstanding figures of Colombia.

The WBA is proud to work hand in hand with Aguilera and Quadrilateral and sends congratulations for having been recognized by a great institution in Fecolbox, commanded by a great boxing man like Alberto Torres.
