Mexican David “tornado” Sánchez, pride of the town Miguel Alemán de Hermosillo, complied with what he had promised to his fans, and carried out a smart fight, exposing his abilities in the ring, to manage a resounding victory over the strong Philippino Marco Demecillo in the State gym broadcast by Azteca 7, the House of boxing promoted by Zanfer and Promoson.

With obvious improvements, Sanchez Cantu (2-23-1, 19 ko’s) 22-year-old showed great intelligence, patience and a much more trained left, more precise combinations and a better way of counterattacking Demecillo (20-2, 14 ko’s), that allowed him to control the first two rounds in his favor.

In the third round, Marco Demecillo attacked and forced the fight hitting Sanchez in several occasions, to what “tornado” responded with hard left hooks down finishing with a right hand to the chin that shook the Philippino and turned the fight exciting.

The four round that was as very competitive and harsh as each round of this great fight also its moment of tension, but towards the end “tornado” Sanchez in an exchange of blows connected a powerful left hook to the ribs of the Sonoran who collapse to the canvas, and had a very hard time to rise back at the count of seven, stumbling and the referee Gabriel Peralta referee stopped the bout at 2:49 seconds of that round.

The total excitement and electrifying atmosphere at the State Gymnasium exploded when Demecillo could not rejoin in the bout, cheering Sanchez, who very gladly devoted important triumph to its people.
