WBA welterweight champion Keith “One Time” Thurman (25-0, 21 KOs) scored an impressive twelve round unanimous decision to retain his belt against former world champion champion Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero (32-3-1, 18 KOs) in front of a crowd of 10,106 on Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Thurman came out very aggressively and took the fight to Guerrero. A third round head clash left Thurman with a swelling on the left side of his forehead. Thurman landed the heavier shots all night and scored a hard knockdown in round nine. The very tough and gritty Guerrero got up and battled hard all the way to the final bell. Scores were 120-107, 118-109, 118-108.
