A week full of action has come to an end and another begins with great emotions, because the World Boxing Association (WBA) will have two of its crowns in dispute, the first one on Friday, November 26 and the second one on Saturday, November 27.

Let’s start with the second one, because the boxing world is waiting for the fight between the American Teofimo Lopez (16-0-0, 12KOs), who holds the WBA lightweight super championship, and the Australian George Kambosos (19-0-0, 10 KOs), who will fight at the Madison Square Garden in New York.

This will be the first defense of Teofimo, who won his belt after defeating Ukrainian Vasyl Lomachenko on October 17, 2020. For his part, Kambosos faces his first title fight. However, he has been WBA-Oceania 135-pound champion.

While the first title fight will be in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico between Aztec Erica “Dinamita” Cruz (13-1, 3KOs) and Melissa Esquivel (12-1-1, 4KOs). In this fight “Dinamita” risks for the first time her Featherweight belt that she took from Canadian Jelena Mrdjenovich last April. For her part, Esquiven receives her first championship opportunity.

Both boxers have promised to put on a great show. In addition, the two gladiators know each other from their amateur boxing days.

So this weekend the WBA has two very promising bouts for the enjoyment of the fans.
