The third day of the 99th Convention of the World Boxing Association (WBA) will have three important presentations: “Challenges of Boxing”, “Boxing and Gender Equality” and “Olympic Boxing.”

At the “Challenges of Boxing” forum, the President of the WBA, Gilberto Jesus Mendoza, will talk about the challenges that this sport is currently facing. The CEO of the promotor company Matchroom Boxing, Eddie Hearn, will participate in this talk, and the well-known journalist Claudia Trejos, who is recognized internationally, will also be present.

The agenda will continue in action with the “Boxing and Gender Equality” forum. In this forum, great champions such as Miriam Gutierrez, Claressa Shields and Hanna Gabriels, will be talking to Orlando “Phenomenon” Cruz, the first boxer who self-declared homosexual publicly. This debate will cover the inclusion and new forms of social acceptance within the 21st century revolutions.

Finally, the day will end with the “Olympic Boxing” forum, where the two-time Olympic medalist, the Italian boxer Clemente Russo will be with the former world champion Omar Narvaez. Also, Miguel Torruco (directorate member of the WBA/President of Conabox) and Ricardo Contreras, President of the Mexican Boxing Federation (FMBA) will attend the forum.
