The President, the Executive Committee and all the World Boxing Association (WBA) family regret the death of Venezuelan manager Joao Santana.

Santana had among his great boxers the former Venezuelan world champions: Eloy Rojas, David Grimán and Lorenzo “Lencho” Parra. Undoubtedly, his name is a synonym for boxing, as he was very passionate about this sport.

The WBA extends the most sincere words of encouragement to his relatives and friends in these difficult times.

May he rest in peace!
