The World Boxing Association (WBA) Classifications Committee published June ranking, covering the period from June 15th, 2017, to the 15th of the current month. During that time, there was a total of 7 world title fights to complete 27 championships so far this year.

This time the distinction of Boxer of the Month was for American Andre Ward, who last June 17th fought for the second time against Russian Sergey Kovalev and beat him by TKO in the eighth round. Thus, he reaffirmed his WBA Light Heavyweight Super Champion status.

On the other hand, the Honorable Mention was given to Russian Denis Lebedev, who on July 9th defeated New Zealander Mark Flanagan to retain his WBA Cruiserweight Super Championship.
