The World Boxing Association (WBA) Classifications Committee announced on Wednesday the ranking for February, which includes the 15 best boxers in each weight division.

On this occasion, the Boxer of the Month was awarded to British George Groves, who, in another vibrant battle on February 17th, beat his fellow countryman Chris Eubank Jr. by unanimous decision. Without a doubt, it was one of the best fights of the month, in which both fighters had to give it all.

Meanwhile, the Honorable Mention distinction was awarded to Russian Murat Gassiev, who in a fierce fight on February 3rd, knocked out Cuban Yunier Dorticos in the last round. Thus, he won the WBA Cruiserweight Super Championship, title that he added to the IBF one, which he already owned.
During the second month of the year, the WBA sanctioned four world championship fights.
