The Puerto Rican Alberto Machado, holder of the 130 pound title of the WBA, already has date for his first defense.

His opponent will be the number one ranked man from Ghana Rafael Mensah, with whose team an agreement was reached after long negotiations.

This duel will be held in Las Vegas, the so-called “City of Sin” and the venue will be the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino that has witnessed great battles with this fight not likely to be an exception.

Machado (19-0, 16 KO’s), returns to the ring from his performance in October last year when he dethroned the Panamanian Jezreel Corrales in Verona, New York.

Mensah (31-0, 23 KO’s) will face his first World Champion after beating Martin Ahiadekey last August.
