It was officially announced this Tuesday that Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano will face for the second chapter of the most important female rivalry in recent times. AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, will be the stage for the undisputed super lightweight title fight between two of the best female fighters of this era.

On April 30, 2022, date of their first fight, they gave one of the best women’s fights in history, which was named the best of the year by the WBA. On that occasion they fought at lightweight and Taylor defended the crowns in a tough fight, full of exchanges and in which she almost went to the canvas at some point of the fight.

Now, with her move up in class last year, the Irishwoman will put her 140-pound belts on the line. It should be noted that she is coming off two wars against Chantelle Cameron, to whom she lost in May last year, but got her revenge in November to keep the belts.

Serrano, meanwhile, defeated Danila Ramos in her most recent fight in October of last year. She was supposed to step into the ring in February in Puerto Rico, but an eye injury prevented her from fighting in front of her home crowd. Now she will get the fight she wanted and will have to move up two classes to get a rematch against Taylor.

The announcement was made official by both fighters through their social networks and the fight will be broadcasted by Netflix, a new actor that approaches boxing.

Taylor has a record of 23 wins, 1 loss and 6 knockouts. For his part, Serrano has 46 wins, 2 losses, 1 draw and 30 knockouts.
