Katie Taylor will take on the challenge of moving up in class to face Chantelle Cameron on May 20 for the World Boxing Association super lightweight title and the IBF, WBC and WBO belts at the Arena in Dublin, Ireland.

After Amanda Serrano’s injury suspended the bout for the undisputed lightweight title, Taylor decided to seek an equally big challenge for the undisputed upper division and now this great fight of champions will take place.

It will be the first time in a long time that Taylor will come out as a challenger but she has proven to be a fighter of great challenges. Her most recent fight was last October when she defeated Karen Carabajal by unanimous decision to defend her 135 lbs. crowns and wait for the rematch against Serrano that finally had to be postponed.

Cameron, on the other hand, will go to the first defense of her WBA belt and it will also be her first exhibition as undisputed champion. It is not a challenge that comes by chance since she had been asking to face Taylor for a long time and now her big moment has come.

It will be an undefeated fight for all the belts and as the main show of the evening organized by Matchroom Boxing. Taylor has 22 wins, 6 by knockout, while Cameron has 17 wins and 8 by knockout.
