The 73rd edition of the boxing tournament of Strandja, Bulgaria 2022 started on Sunday with the participation of 460 athletes and 39 countries, according to the organizers of the oldest tournament in Europe. 

The tournament will run until February 27 and has 13 male and 12 female weight categories in contention. Women will participate from minimum weight (48kg) to heavyweight (+81kg). While the men will compete from 48 kilos to +92 kilos. 

Among the participating nations are: Kazakhstan, India, Uzbekistan, England, Russia, France, Poland, Ukraine and, of course, Bulgaria.
