The Salvadoran Juan Carlos “Speedy” Flores defeated Costa Rican Cristian Coronado by technical knockout in the ninth round in front of his public, to become the WBA-Fedecentro Super Bantamweight Champion.

Both boxers gave it all since the first bell. The two fighters connected power blows and did not avoid the exchange. The audience was very excited. Nevertheless, despite the offensiveness of Flores and Coronado, it was the Salvadoran who connected the best punches with his right cross to the face.

Little by little, Speedy’s blows began to hurt his rival, who started to look tired. This was more evident in the ninth round, when the referee Gustavo Padilla from Panama had to stop the fight, and declared technical knockout after 2 minutes and 1 second of the first round, giving the victory to Flores as the new WBA-Fedecentro Champion at 122 pounds.

The Salvadoran now has a record of 7 victories, one defeat and 3 nocauts.
