The World Boxing Association (WBA) super welterweight purse bid for the mandatory bout between Michel Soro and Israil Madrimov, scheduled to take place on Monday, August 23, has been cancelled.

Although the Championships Committee will continue the reviewing the category as agreed in the title interim title reduction plan.

The WBA has been undergoing a thorough review of weights and champions in order to comply with its plan. To date, decisions have been made in different divisions and will inform in a timely manner when there will be a decision in the 154 pounds.
