Amanda Serrano will defend her undisputed featherweight championship in a rematch against Heather Hardy on August 5 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

The home of the Mavericks will have a very media event in which Jake Paul will return to the ring to face Nate Diaz and Serrano will be the co-main event.

The Puerto Rican comes from defeating Erika Cruz last February in one of the best fights of the year to take away the World Boxing Association (WBA) belt and add it to her collection, which already had the WBO, WBC and IBF belts.

She had subsequently signed to fight Katie Taylor in May but an injury prevented her from being ready for that fight.

Hardy is an experienced opponent who already faced Serrano in 2019 and lost despite leaving a good impression. Now she will have a new opportunity and has won two fights in a row which gives her confidence to face a challenge as complicated as the one she has with the champion.

Serrano comes into the fight with a record of 44 wins, 2 losses, 1 draw and 30 knockouts, while Hardy has 24 wins, 2 losses and 4 knockouts.
