WBA super bantamweight champion Scott Quigg (30-0-2, 22KOs) won a twelve round unanimous decision over Hidenori Otake (22-2-3, 9KOs) in the Echo Arena in Liverpool, England, on Saturday, winning by unanimous decision. The scores were 119-109, 119-109 and 118-110.

Quigg controlled the action and piled up the points, but Otake showed tremendous heart, surviving the final few rounds with a big cut over his right eye and handling Quigg’s strong body shots. Quigg held him off and fought him on even terms until the bell.
