Rolando Romero: the fight of his life

Rolando Romero knows he has a great opportunity head-to-head when he steps into the ring this Saturday to face Gervonta Davis. The American of Cuban descent will have the most important fight of his life, one that could help him make the leap to worldwide success and recognition.

He is looking for the World Boxing Association (WBA) lightweight championship in a fight that generates a lot of intrigue and whose strategy is an unknown for boxing fans.

Romero is known for being an uncomfortable boxer with a respectable punch. The challenger feels very confident for this fight and has assured that his power will make the difference to knock out the champion.

He tends to be very confusing in the ring, constantly changing his boxing style and with that, coupled with his punching power, he plans to limit Gervonta’s speed.

“Rolly” has a lot to gain and little to lose. The odds are in his opponent’s favor but he knows what is at stake and all the benefits that could bring him an upset at the Barclays Center.

Romero’s career could take a leap in recognition and fame, but first he must overcome the most important challenge of his professional life. Will he be able to do it?
