Luis Rodriguez got a new victory in his career on Friday night, when he defeated Roger Guerrero by unanimous decision at the Pandeportes Combat Coliseum, in Panama City, to win the World Boxing Association (WBA) Continental Americas belt at super middleweight.

Rodriguez won by scores of 98-92, 97-93 and 96-94, which resulted in a unanimous decision in a bout in which he proved superior to his opponent and left a pleasant impression.

The 26-year-old southpaw fighter knew how to be patient in the fight and adapt as the rounds went by to take advantage in the scorecards and get a good victory.

Although the Ecuadorian Guerrero came out to give everything in the ring and seek the fight, he could not against the good boxing of the Puerto Rican and ended up losing a very entertaining fight with good moments for both fighters.

Rodriguez left his record at 12 wins, no losses and 11 knockouts, while Guerrero now has a record of 17 wins, 4 setbacks, 1 draw and 10 knockouts.
