Mayerlin Rivas and Karina Fernandez declared themselves ready for their fight for the World Boxing Association (WBA) super bantamweight championship, taking place this Friday at the Domo Alcalde, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.

The Venezuelan champion and the Mexican challenger spoke to the press and posed for the cameras while showing great confidence in the victory.

La “Monita” assured that she is confident in her skills and knows what she has to do on Friday to get the victory and retain the black and gold crown in her reappearance on the ring after a long period of inactivity.

Fernandez, on the other hand, talked about the motivation of being at home and having received such a great opportunity for her career. She emphasized that she is well prepared and that she intends to give the surprise.

Both fighters will fight in the Matchroom evening, which will have Hiroto Kyoguchi defending his WBA Minim flyweight super championship in the main event against Esteban Bermudez.
