Undefeated unified super bantamweight world champion Guillermo “El Chacal” Rigondeaux (14-0, 9 KOs) scored a first round KO over two-time world title challenger Sod Kokietgym (63-3-1, 27 KOs) on Saturday night at the Venetian Macao’s Cotai Arena. Kokietgym was rocked by an accidental headbutt and went down. When action resumed, they touched gloves, then Rigondeaux pounced and immediately landed a combination that dropped him. The bout was waved off by referee Mark Nelson after just 1:44. The KO ended a 37 bout winning streak for Kokietgym.
